Campus-wide Symposium on Basic Cancer Research

Please join us for our annual symposium. This yearly event's goal is to highlight the great basic cancer research preformed UCI Faculty and to introduce new faculty researchers who have joined UCI to the Cancer Community. The CRI also invites a distinguished outside speaker to deliver a keynote lecture every year.

UC Pancreatic Cancer Consortium Symposium - December 15, 2023

In 2017, the University of California’s five academic cancer centers (Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco) formed the UC Cancer Consortium to better address California’s most pressing cancer-related problems and opportunities. The UC Pancreatic Cancer Consortium (UCPCC) was established as a project of these collaborative efforts and aims to unite scientists and clinicians committed to pancreatic cancer research and treatment in order to accelerate the progress and impact of their work. The vision is to improve the lives of persons diagnosed with pancreatic cancer by translating innovative research into improved clinical care. More information on UCPCC: HERE

Deaminet 2024

5th International Conference on Base Editing Enzymes and Applications

The primary goal of this conference is to bring together investigators interested in base editing enzymes, predominantly APOBEC and ADAR deaminase family members but also other promising enzymes, and discuss ways to harness their activities toward editing for beneficial purposes. Topics will range from fundamental biology to translational and applied applications and include studies on all kingdoms of life. Speakers and participants will represent both academic and commercial interests. An additional goal will be providing an exceptionally comfortable and stimulating atmosphere for the cultivation of new and cross-disciplinary collaborations and ideas and discussions of the rapidly expanding editing field.

2nd Annual SoCal Metabolism Meeting

For the second time, Sanford Burnham Prebys, UC Irvine, and USC are bringing together the Southern California metabolism community. Join us at this one-day symposium to network, make new connections and discover more of the high-quality metabolism research being conducted here in SoCal at the molecular, cellular, and organismal levels.

This unique event will also showcase the brightest upcoming talents in the field, with presentations from trainees that reflect the breadth of research being undertaken in our region.
