Congratulations to Selma Masri and her team which were just awarded an NCI administrative supplement for cancer health disparities (CHD). This is a big deal as NCI had 2 calls last year and only awarded 10 supplements total. They applied to expand our ongoing work in colorectal cancer (CRC) to understand why Hispanics are at an increased risk for CRC – an important cancer health disparity. The team includes Nick Pannunzio (CHD expertise), Marcus Seldin (computational expertise), and Oliver Eng (clinical expertise) that we combined with CRC expertise from Selma Masri’s Lab. This is a direct result from Anti-Cancer Challenge seed grant funds!
